Lori LaPonte joined the IDA 2016 as Chief Financial Officer. An experienced CPA, Ms. LaPonte has worked in the accounting industry for over 30 years performing accounting and auditing services for local governments including IDAs, commercial entities, and non-profits. Her experience includes a senior audit management position at a big four firm in NYC, vice president of finance of a large civil engineering firm and partner in a local accounting firm. Ms. LaPonte is a "Pilot Tester" for continuing professional education courses for CPAs. Ms. LaPonte graduated from C.W. Post / Long Island University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. Ms. LaPonte is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Suffolk County Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Ms. LaPonte has been involved in her community and has served as a board member for several non-profits and as a parent liaison with her local school district.
